About the position

The Field Applications Senior Engineer will serve as a key technical support interface for customers, focusing on demand creation activities and providing solutions tailored to customer-specific challenges using Infineon products. This role involves on-site support, design-in assistance, and conducting training sessions, while also gathering regional requirements to influence future product development.

Responsibilities

• Key customer interface for technical support and demand creation activities.
• Create solutions for customer-specific problems with Infineon products.
• Provide on-site support for Infineon products.
• Customer design-in support including schematic and layout reviews.
• Conduct product family presentations and training courses on Infineon products.
• Gather North American regional requirements and influence the feature sets provided in Infineon's future product families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 1-3 years of experience in automotive electronics application development.
• Strong customer interface and project/program management skills.
• Application level understanding of automotive control electronics.
• Ability to adapt to various customer applications and support needs.
• Semiconductor industry experience with understanding of product development and qualification.
• PCB design experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering tools such as PSPICE, Saber, MathCAD, Matlab/Simulink, LabView, etc.
• Experience in the lab environment with tools such as oscilloscopes and other test equipment, in addition to prototyping tools (soldering iron, etc.).
• Ability to work with automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers.
• Understanding of OEM/Tier 1 product development and qualification process is preferred.
