About the position

The Field Applications Specialist at Pentair is responsible for promoting and supporting the company's pool and spa products within a designated territory, which includes Northern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Northwestern West Virginia. This role involves building relationships with dealers, installers, and servicers, providing technical expertise, and driving business growth through effective training and support. The specialist will also analyze customer needs and specifications to recommend appropriate solutions, ensuring brand preference and awareness among partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of Pool and Spa products to address customer needs.
• Build relationships with key pool builders, remodelers, servicers, and retail dealers to influence sales.
• Hold regular technical presentations and training seminars for dealers and customers.
• Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and provide solutions to performance problems.
• Promote Pentair's products effectively using marketing programs and training resources.
• Partner with the Territory Sales Manager to identify and execute market growth opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 3-5 years of experience in the pool and spa industry with strong technical understanding of equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mentality.
• Ability to train others on Pentair Pool & Spa equipment.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High energy, self-starter, and goal-oriented.
