About the position

Hess Corporation is seeking enthusiastic interns for its Operational Technology and Automation department for the summer of 2025. This internship program spans 12 weeks and offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in technology-driven special projects within the MR&I Operational Technology/Cyber Security, Industrial Control Systems, or Field Automation Teams. Interns will be paired with a designated mentor from the MR&I Support Services team, who will guide them through their projects and help them contribute to the team's success and the overall objectives of the company. Throughout the internship, participants will have the chance to work on various projects that may include Network Security Remediation within Operational Technology, optimization of asset repositories, remote access servers, and network visualization software suites in Field Automation, as well as Cyber Security Project Management Initiatives. This hands-on experience is designed to enhance the interns' understanding of the oil and gas industry while developing their skills in automation and cybersecurity. Responsibilities

• Work alongside a designated MR&I Support Services mentor to support technology-driven special projects.
• Participate in Network Security Remediation initiatives within Operational Technology.
• Optimize asset repositories, remote access servers, and network visualization software suites in Field Automation.
• Engage in Cyber Security Project Management Initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Industrial Automation, or related fields.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with a focus on business application.
• Possess a strong sense of ethics and high integrity.
• Comfortable speaking up and asking questions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Desire to work in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Interest in developing an advanced understanding of Field Automation, Industrial Controls, and/or Cybersecurity.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in groups.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous work or internship experience in a related field.
