About the position

Our organization is seeking a Field Criminal Research Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and collecting specific criminal, civil, property, and corporate documents in Wilmington Delaware (New Castle County) and Dover Delaware (Kent County). This role requires the incumbent to report findings accurately to various Mohr Information Services clients. The position necessitates training in Dover for at least 2 months, with the possibility of an extended training period if needed. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, honest, and reliable, as these traits are essential for success in this role. The Field Criminal Research Analyst will engage in various tasks that include gathering and analyzing information skillfully, understanding the judgment and garnishment process, and traveling to area courthouses and other government offices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as the analyst will need to edit work for accuracy, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Attention to detail is paramount, and the ability to produce work of the highest quality level is expected. The analyst must thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and work independently while multitasking and solving problems. Strong computer and typing skills are also essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Research and collect specific criminal, civil, property, and corporate documents in Wilmington and Dover, Delaware.
  • Report findings accurately to various clients of Mohr Information Services.
  • Travel to area courthouses and other government offices as required.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully, including online information gathering and social media research.
  • Edit work for accuracy, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in criminal research, title abstracting, and corporate document retrieval preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the court system is a plus.
  • Experience in online information gathering, including social media research, is a plus.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Understanding of the judgment and garnishment process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer and typing skills are a must.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in courthouse research (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in criminal investigation (1 year required).
