About the position

The Field Customer Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of restaurant services, ensuring effective communication between centralized customer service, purchasing, and automated restaurant ordering systems. This role involves significant travel and requires strong relationship management skills with various stakeholders in the distribution center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cascade customer communications including newsletters, guidebooks, and contingency plans.
  • Ensure alignment of internal stakeholders with customer communications and process changes.
  • Oversee processes related to daily order reviews.
  • Manage credit and claims processes for the distribution center.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Owner/Operators, Restaurant managers, Suppliers, and Field Office positions.
  • Develop and maintain customer dossier and cross-reference tool.
  • Market the brand professionally.
  • Create presentation materials for customer meetings or events.
  • Act as a liaison between customer supply chain manager and distribution center.
  • Responsible for hiring, development, and retention of administrative non-exempt positions and Customer Relations Managers.
  • Develop and manage the administrative department budget.
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6+ years of related experience and 2+ years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric focus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
  • Previous knowledge of JD Edwards and/or Salesforce.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Prior management experience.
