About the position
As the Field Dispatcher at STG Logistics, you will play a crucial role in planning freight, maximizing driver utilization, and solving problems to ensure outstanding logistics solutions for our customers. Your expertise and experience will be leveraged to drive positive results while ensuring a bright future for both yourself and STG. In this position, you will be responsible for communicating with customers, potential customers, owner-operators, and core carriers to plan and execute customer deliveries effectively. You will monitor the location of the fleet using system tracking or by calling drivers for check calls, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Proactive communication with customers regarding any potential service failures is essential, as you will need to create action plans to avoid issues in the future. Additionally, you will execute legging/street turn/empty repositioning functionality in Rail Optimizer and manage equipment, including chassis and containers. Maintaining proper records and ensuring that information is executed correctly and on time will also be part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers, potential customers, owner-operators, and core carriers.

- Execute legging/street turn/empty repositioning functionality in Rail Optimizer.
- Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
- Maintain proper records and ensure information is executed correctly and on time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
- 1 year of experience in an operations or dispatch environment.
- 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
