Our Denver office has an opportunity for a Civil Field Engineer. Working in a multi-disciplined environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with our Water Team. This position involves leading all on-site inspection activities to record as-constructed conditions and verify conformance with the contract documents. You will be responsible for identifying and documenting site-related construction challenges, consistently communicating these to the Project Team to resolve them in a timely manner. Additionally, you will maintain daily photographic records to document construction activities and regularly archive these for records. You will also be tasked with construction progress monitoring and preparation of daily reports. Attending on-site construction progress review meetings will be part of your responsibilities, including documenting discussions and action items. As a main point of contact on site for the Contractor and the Client, you will review requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, and shop drawings. Obtaining and reviewing as-built drawings will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to train and/or mentor less experienced staff in company procedures, standards, and software. Your role may also include plan review, design, and plan production as needed, as well as providing quality control for design plans. Travel within the Denver metro area and along the Front Range will be required, and the position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. The position has the possibility of overtime to align with Contractor construction schedules, which may include some overnight and weekend work.
