About the position

The Field Engineer position at Jacobs Associates involves providing essential project planning, scheduling, procurement, and technical support for construction projects in the South West Central and Pacific Northwest regions. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to ensure project success and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduling of the project.
  • Manages revenue, cost, and cash flow.
  • Contracts, manages, and coordinates sub-contractors and product vendors.
  • Participates in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control.
  • Oversees project closeout.
  • Maintains close contact and good working relationships with client representatives.
  • Assists in Operations planning.
  • Administers contracts and subcontracts.
  • Trains and directs Field Engineers.
  • Develops and maintains owner relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is highly desired.
  • 0-3 years of working experience in construction or engineering.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office; knowledge of Primavera, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid is a plus.
  • Experience managing engineers.
