About the position

The Field Engineer I - Electrical position at Sundt is an entry-level role focused on supporting project engineers by providing technical information and assistance throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, managing documentation, and ensuring adherence to project management and quality standards. The position is designed for individuals with a construction-related degree or equivalent experience, offering opportunities for professional growth within a culture of employee ownership.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the project management plan (PMP) and supports its execution.
• Ensures the administration of the project quality management plan and promotes a culture of safety.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work.
• May oversee/managing the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordination between Subcontractors and Designers.
• May be responsible for documentation and submittal for LEED Certification and updating Digital Record Drawings.
• May provide lines, grades, and layout as required for the project.
• Maintains accurate quantity logs and reports quantities in compliance with the cost control manual.
• Provides support to superintendents for the execution of work and assists in resolving field problems.

Requirements

• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
