About the position
The Field Engineer / Project Engineer position is focused on supporting the Project Management team in overseeing construction projects, particularly in the Heavy Highway sector. The role involves managing documentation, ensuring safety practices, and collaborating with various team members to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Management team in project oversight, managing risk and client relations
- Responsible for construction documentation including change orders, RFI's and submittals
- Work collaboratively with Superintendent and other project team members
- Perform site safety walks, promoting safe work practices
- Update project management software and scheduling software
Requirements
- Experience in civil construction, particularly in heavy highway or paving projects
- Strong understanding of construction documentation processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of site safety practices and regulations
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software
