About the position

This position provides technical support and drives the sales of specified products to salesforce and customers in Northern Ohio, aligning with Hilti's strategy. The role involves educating design communities on the proper use and advantages of Hilti fastening and protection products, securing commitments for specification or approval of these products, and assisting in solving design problems. Additionally, the position includes providing leadership and coaching to new and less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic communication with sales personnel and customers.
  • Communicate competently in writing with customers, ensuring technical accuracy and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Visit jobsites and company offices to assess application problems and provide technical education.
  • Investigate product failures in the field and provide feedback to product management.
  • Participate in customer surveys to identify business opportunities for product and market development.
  • Engage in local sales strategy development and management review sessions.
  • Obtain specifications and approvals for Hilti products from designers and owner groups.
  • Conduct professional educational seminars and presentations for A/E firms about Hilti products.
  • Provide recommendations to engineers and architects on specific applications using sound engineering judgment.
  • Review project specifications for accuracy and compliance with codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts and specifications using Hilti software.
  • Create and manage jobsite information within the CRM system.
  • Communicate application specifications to the sales team and assign tasks to Account Managers.
  • Maintain and update regional contacts of designers and code officials.
  • Work with local code agencies to obtain necessary approvals.

Requirements

  • Technical expertise in construction methods and local building codes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to provide sound engineering judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in conducting educational seminars and presentations.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for managing contacts and specifications.
