About the position

The Field Engineer position at Lockheed Martin involves maintaining and repairing various training systems, including Weapons System Trainers and Operational Flight Trainers, primarily supporting the Combat Rescue Helicopter training program. The role requires hands-on technical skills to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, document system actions, and ensure operational readiness of training devices. The position is based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and requires the candidate to work onsite for a minimum of two years, with potential relocation once training devices are ready for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, adjust, isolate, remove, and replace faulty hardware on training systems.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on host computers and associated electronics.
  • Document all hardware system actions related to equipment malfunctions and repairs.
  • Conduct operational checkouts and preventive maintenance using technical manuals.
  • Complete On-the-Job training requirements as directed by management.
  • Maintain positive relationships with military and civilian personnel.
  • Support modifications to trainers as directed by management.
  • Attend meetings as directed by management.
  • Complete maintenance data collection records on equipment.

Requirements

  • Over 4 years of experience in PC-based computer repair.
  • Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain system hardware with engineering support.
  • Strong understanding of the Request for Drawing Change (RFDAs) process.
  • Ability to write, review, and update Contractor Operating Instructions and Work Instructions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Maintenance Data Collection (MDC) database.
  • Understanding of CLS metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs and work at heights above 10 feet.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Maintain Security+ Certification.
