About the position

As a Human Resource Generalist at Dunkin - Baskin Robbins, you will play a crucial role in our operations, overseeing various HR functions that are essential for maintaining a high-performance workplace. This position is integral to our commitment to fostering employee growth and ensuring HR integrity within our organization. You will be responsible for managing document processes, recruiting new talent, onboarding new hires, and facilitating promotions. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a dynamic and enjoyable work environment where individuals can thrive and make a meaningful impact. In this role, you will streamline the recruitment process, which includes posting job advertisements, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding of new employees. You will also oversee the performance review process, collaborating with managers to identify and cultivate talent within the organization. This includes developing strategies for performance reviews, employee development, and talent retention, ensuring that our workforce is engaged and motivated. As a key communicator for HR-related information, you will ensure that all employees have access to clear and concise updates regarding policies and procedures. Compliance is a critical aspect of this role; you will work closely with our third-party HR team to ensure that all payroll and HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, you will prepare reports on payroll and HR metrics, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of employee data. You will also manage unemployment claims and workers' compensation claims in collaboration with our Accounting team, aiming to keep tax rates and premiums as low as possible. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate employee records within our HR systems is essential, as is managing the onboarding and offboarding processes. As the Benefits Enrollment Coordinator, you will communicate all aspects of employee benefits offerings, including health insurance and 401K, and assist in the enrollment process.

Responsibilities

  • Streamline the recruitment process, from posting job ads to conducting interviews and managing onboarding.
  • Manage the performance review process and work with managers to identify and cultivate talent.
  • Act as a key communicator for HR-related information, policies, and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and HR practices.
  • Prepare reports on payroll and HR metrics, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Facilitate responses to unemployment claims and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records within HR systems.
  • Communicate all aspects of employee benefits offerings and assist in the enrollment process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in the Quick Food Service or Restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and related HR tools and software systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region to provide on-site HR support.
