About the position

The Field Insurance Agent at AAA The Auto Club Group is responsible for selling ACG branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a branch location. The role focuses on generating new business sales, growing the insurance book of business, and providing excellent customer service to existing insureds. The agent will utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to meet or exceed sales targets while participating in local events to expand business networks.

Responsibilities

  • Sell ACG branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products.
  • Identify customer-specific needs to generate new business sales.
  • Support escalated service and retention of existing insureds.
  • Overcome objections to close sales and retain insureds.
  • Conduct insurance reviews for clients to recommend suitable products.
  • Use underwriting guidelines to assess risk and issue policies.
  • Participate in local branch events to solicit new business.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding membership and financial products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license.
  • Current Life Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • 1+ year of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sales skills and consultative selling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM and Microsoft Office software applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years of professional sales experience in an insurance environment or related industry.
  • College level coursework preferred.
