About the position

The Field Insurance Service Representative position at Texas Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company involves providing essential office and clerical support for County Farm Bureau activities, focusing on member services related to the issuance and maintenance of memberships and insurance policies. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills to assist members and support the CFB President and Board members in promoting agricultural initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in promoting and executing core County Farm Bureau purpose activities.
  • Provide prompt, professional member/customer service in office, via telephone and other electronic means.
  • Update member data and document each contact within the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Assist applicants with membership applications and create new memberships in MIRA.
  • Process membership changes in MIRA as requested and file documentation electronically.
  • Assist in the production of new business insurance quotes and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Receive, verify, and apply payments for memberships and insurance policies, and prepare daily deposits.
  • Review Delinquent Membership report daily and contact members for renewals and updates.
  • Assist members with claims reporting and provide information on claims status as directed.
  • Maintain calendar of appointments and deadlines and assist in setting appointments with members.
  • Exercise good judgement and confidentiality in maintaining sensitive information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hold/obtain and maintain Insurance Service Representative or General Lines license within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM with a maximum of 5% errors.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Effective interpersonal verbal skills, in person and via telephone.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete detailed work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate several tasks simultaneously.
  • Willing and able to learn new skills and refine existing skills as needed.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a driving record that qualifies for business purposes.
