About the position
The Field IT Installation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing IT installations at various construction sites for Performance Food Group's Operating Companies. This role involves collaboration with local construction teams, network teams, and desk support to ensure successful IT installations. The position requires strong organizational skills, project management experience, and the ability to build effective relationships with leadership and staff at construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IT installation at various construction sites of Operating Companies (OpCos).
- Collaborate with local construction teams, network teams, server teams, and desk support.
- Lead or assist in coordinating and executing IT installations within OpCo locations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with leadership and staff at assigned construction sites.
- Understand high-level business functions from an IT perspective.
- Assist with the installation of equipment at various OpCo locations.
- Liaise between OpCo leadership, desk support, network engineers, cabling teams, and external vendors for coordination of physical IT installation.
- Ensure best practices and company standards are observed during installations.
- Communicate issues to partners, external vendors, and leadership in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain necessary installation project budgets.
- Plan and coordinate with various teams enterprise-wide and manage external vendor relationships.
- Understand floor plans to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Work comfortably on construction sites.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in IT installation and project management.
- Proximity to an airport for travel requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Associates/2-year Technical degree.
- 10+ years of experience in IT installation and project management.
