Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional field planning team in reviewing, scheduling, coordinating and effectively communicating aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Lead daily workload meetings with station leadership.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and designated station trainer on related technology platforms.
  • Develop and foster strong cross-divisional relationships while maintaining an open line of communication with various planning teams, maintenance stations, maintenance control, routing and other Tech Ops and NOC teams.
  • Manage administrative duties of the assigned field planning team including team scheduling, vacation, holiday, and sick outages.
  • Mentor, develop and train field planning team members.
  • Monitor goal performance and implement actions to address gaps.
  • Ensure team compliance with planning SOPs.
  • Coordinate pilot projects involving labor-hour and ground time estimates on new and existing line maintenance tasks to aid in workability.
  • Manage station capabilities and qualification data.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of commercial aircraft or military aircraft maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent technical education or experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Autonomous proactive self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use digital technology tools such as MS Office, Teams, etc.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, aviation technology or aviation management.
  • 2 years in an aircraft maintenance leadership role.
  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance planning experience.
  • Green or Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
