About the position

The Field Manager at Up2Us Sports will act as the primary liaison for a group of AmeriCorps Coaches and their associated programs in Baltimore. This role is crucial for ensuring that coaches and partner organizations receive the necessary support to achieve high-quality outcomes. The Field Manager will collaborate closely with the Program Director to oversee the Baltimore market while adhering to programmatic and funding compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact for Up2Us Coaches and program sites in Baltimore.
  • Manage AmeriCorps Coach onboarding and exiting process in partnership with the National Operations Team.
  • Monitor compliance of coaches and program sites with established criteria.
  • Maintain electronic records of Up2Us Coaches and program sites in the internal database.
  • Conduct host site visits for all coaches in the Baltimore, DC, and Virginia area.
  • Deliver program orientation to coaches and program sites at the beginning of the service year.
  • Organize and facilitate coach trainings, special events, and program initiatives.
  • Coordinate program activities for coaches and stakeholders.
  • Review applications from program sites requesting to host coaches and prepare recommendations.
  • Cultivate relationships with youth sports programs and assist in increasing Up2Us Sports membership.
  • Support program monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and reporting.
  • Mentor, motivate, and support Up2Us AmeriCorps Coaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience in nonprofit administration, operations, youth program coordination, recreation administration, or school-based administration.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a nonprofit or school-based organization is preferred.
  • Ability to work on a team and be self-motivated; experience with remote teams preferred.
  • Comfortable traveling throughout Baltimore, using own vehicle or public transit.
  • Two to three years of experience working with underserved youth.
  • Understanding and interest in sports-based youth development.
  • Experience in developing collaborative partnerships among various stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple projects.
  • Computer literacy and well-developed technology skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong connection with the youth sports community is preferred.
  • Experience working with AmeriCorps national service federal and/or state grants preferred.
