About the position

As the Field Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Field Marketing team with various community events and sponsorships. This position is designed to assist in the execution of marketing partnerships with key builders, community leaders, MDUs, and other strategic partnerships and projects aimed at supporting sales and generating revenue. Your efforts will be instrumental in delivering a positive return on investment (ROI) for these initiatives. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functionality and coordination of marketing activities, as well as managing special projects from inception to completion that align with the goals of the Field Marketing team. In this role, you will be expected to work evening and weekend events as needed in the Twin Falls, ID area. Your responsibilities will include updating daily and weekly reports and assisting in the preparation of critical reports that provide insights into the marketing programs and their outcomes. You will also assist in the setup of events, manage merchandise distribution, and transport special event vehicles such as RVs and vans. Additionally, you will collect lead generation information and forward it to the Field Marketing managers, while also managing the marketing content within TDS intranet (StarPoint). This includes updating the Field Marketing SharePoint site, building pages, and maintaining content necessary for marketing initiatives and tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing team (AM-Field Marketing) on marketing events and projects to meet goals.
  • Coordinate materials used at community events, parades, and pop-up events, engaging with potential customers to support all activities in the market.
  • Manage materials used to collect customer information for the sales team for lead generation follow-up.
  • Coordinate, track, and order promotional items, food, and entertainment, ensuring proper setup.
  • Manage promotional inventory and coordinate the use of company vehicles.
  • Coordinate mobile demo units and mascot appearances.
  • Manage employee volunteer responsibilities to support execution of marketing events.
  • Manage special administrative projects that support the field marketing team, such as developing the Field Marketing SharePoint site.
  • Create a calendar of events to communicate all Field Marketing programs, events, sponsorships, and activities to the TDS organization.
  • Support the Associate Manager- Field Marketing with enhancing marketing programs by initiating creative ads or materials.
  • Perform administrative duties including check requests, supply orders, expense reports, updates to work calendars, DOT compliance, and coordination of business meetings with strategic partners and sponsored events.
  • Report on the success of local events and compile data from attendees.
  • Attend marketing meetings as determined by the Manager-Field Marketing.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.
  • 1+ years marketing, community outreach, or event planning experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate to support marketing needs.
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of direct marketing concepts and terminology.
  • A willingness to take on new assignments.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a customer-service focus.
  • Ability to finish tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with PC software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough understanding of communications environment, products, and services.
  • Ability to work as a team player within all TDS business units.
  • Ability to stay focused on the task at hand while dealing with distraction and interruption.
