About the position
The Matting Operator is responsible for the setup, servicing, and maintenance of Strad Inc. products at various operating branches and remote locations across the US. This role requires familiarity with all Strad product lines and involves significant travel to customer sites for equipment installation and service. The operator must comply with safety regulations and maintain effective communication with team members to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove allocated Strad assets from customer sites
- Operate and maintain matting installation and service equipment (e.g., Loaders, grapple, and hoes)
- Learn all aspects of Strad Branch/Field level operations for equipment installation and removal
- Service, repair, and maintain Strad's equipment including Surface Equipment and Rig Matting
- Repair and wash mats during slow periods across Strad operating areas
- Travel to various locations throughout the US for matting and service projects
- Communicate with Strad employees to ensure operations flow seamlessly
- Fill out appropriate field paperwork electronically or by sheet as needed
- Follow Company Policies and Procedures and adhere to Company Safety Standards
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment
- Experience with setup, repair, and maintenance of equipment
- General mechanical skills
- Ability to travel out of town for extended periods
- Desire to provide top service for customers
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Clean driver's abstract
- Safety courses and related tickets (OSHA10, First Aid, H2S)
