About the position
The Field Merchandiser position at Sysco is a sales role focused on promoting the company's products and services while building relationships with designated accounts. The primary goal is to support FreshPoint customers in achieving their sales and profit objectives through effective in-store stocking and replenishment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Grow customer and FreshPoint Sales, Volume and profit YOY by ensuring stock availability of the right items for customer demand.
- Stock displays in compliance with customer-defined schematics, ensuring quality product and removing freshness-dated and damaged products.
- Optimize consumer engagement on shelf by performing basic duties related to merchandise, including price changes, tagging, ad set, and shelving arrangements.
- Enhance partnership with retailers by maintaining client relationships through regular visits and collaboration with store leadership on product displays.
- Oversee the ordering of all products supplied by FreshPoint to ensure adequate stock is displayed and held in backstock to meet consumer demand.
- Set up orders in customer systems and resolve issues related to billing, receiving, and scanning at the customer level.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of retail merchandising experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to conduct physical work, often lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office functions
- Access to reliable transportation and auto insurance
