About the position

The Field Merchandising Analytics Manager at Circle K is responsible for leading data-driven merchandising initiatives and enabling data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to review pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies, while also mentoring junior resources and contributing to their career development. The manager will utilize technical expertise to develop tools and models that provide insights and recommendations to meet business goals, ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thought leadership and act as an ambassador for data-driven merchandising initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies.
  • Document business unit level strategic decisions around pricing, promotions, and assortment.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to identify gaps and make recommendations for improving DDM tools and processes.
  • Conceptualize and develop new, reusable tools and models to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in the annual DDM planning process for the business unit.
  • Translate insights and recommendations into stories for various stakeholders.
  • Join the Global Analytical network to share experiences and address data and analytics issues.
  • Mentor junior resources and contribute to their career development.
  • Achieve financial and key result area targets as per company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of progressive responsibility experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven track record of delivering structured oral and written communications to senior business leaders.
  • Experience driving large scale projects end-to-end and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, logical reasoning, and strong communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytic skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, managing and developing people.
  • Retail experience is an asset.
