About the position

As a Network Engineer at Philips, you will allow your networking experience and passion for improving lives to shine; you will contribute to providing the right data, context, and approach to change the way we do business and make a difference for our customers. Your role involves acting as the subject matter expert (SME) by collaborating and consulting effectively with sales and service partners, as well as customers and healthcare institutions, to ensure successful integration of solutions into the customer IT environment and to achieve overall business objectives. You will leverage insights to drive service innovation leads that align with customer needs. You will be responsible for delivering, deploying, and/or integrating software solutions within the purview of the associated domain for complex IT solutions which carry proprietary real-time life critical data and are required to reliably output to hospital IT environments. As a key member of the implementation project and/or support team, you will foster collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills, and expertise. Additionally, you will apply industry standard practices and Philips standard implementation to all customers who choose Philips solutions, educating customers to maintain their systems. Your role will also include resolving technical issues and offering proactive technical support, practicing strong configuration management and version control, and documenting solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development. You will contribute to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally, assessing and sharing repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects, and driving continuous improvements of implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) by collaborating and consulting with sales and service partners, customers, and healthcare institutions.
  • Deliver, deploy, and integrate software solutions for complex IT solutions that carry real-time life critical data.
  • Participate as a key member of the implementation project and/or support team, fostering collaboration through sharing experiences and expertise.
  • Apply industry standard practices and Philips standard implementation to all customers, educating them to maintain their systems.
  • Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support, practicing strong configuration management and version control.
  • Document solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development.
  • Contribute to the collective learning of Philips by sharing knowledge globally and assessing repeatable processes for multiple projects.
  • Drive continuous improvements of implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional working experience in the IT technologies or electronics industry, preferably in a field or hospital-based service environment.
  • Experience with patient monitoring, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators is highly preferred.
  • Network configuration and/or troubleshooting experience, with a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • Demonstration of skill sets from completions of one or more relevant Cisco courses is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, biomedical, or related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Significant progress toward professional level certifications may be considered.
  • Completion of courses such as ENCOR, DCAC9K, IP6FD, ICM, and CSCGW is preferred.
