About the position

The Field Office Administrator oversees the daily operations of a Bureau of Administrative Reviews (BAR) field office within the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient office operations, providing high-quality customer service, and managing a team of subordinates. The administrator is responsible for conducting administrative review hearings, analyzing office data, and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BAR field office.
  • Ensure efficient and effective office operations.
  • Communicate with and motivate subordinates.
  • Provide professional and impartial service to the public.
  • Track and monitor hearing caseloads to maintain high-quality customer service.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding the administrative review process and driver license programs.
  • Analyze office data and create reports based on policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of multiple subordinates.
  • Identify areas for continual improvement and additional training.
  • Handle office inventory, purchasing, and operational needs.
  • Conduct administrative review hearings under oath for driver license reinstatement.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least three years of management experience supervising subordinates.
  • At least five years of customer service experience.
  • Experience related to administrative hearings.
  • Experience interpreting and applying laws and regulations.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
