About the position

As a Field Engineer at TIC, you will be at the forefront of our construction operations, bringing your innovative ideas and strong work ethic to the table. You will be involved in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews, preparing work plans, and managing material deliveries. Your responsibilities will also extend to office engineering, where you will perform takeoffs from drawings, generate change orders, and provide essential support to subcontractor operations. Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft, prepare work plans and work packages, order and schedule material deliveries
  • Perform takeoffs from drawings, generating change orders reviewed by the Project Manager, provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
  • Review and analyze data relative to the project, complete plans and specification reviews for projects, assist with the preparation of a bid

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements
  • Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling and cost control as well as to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera 'P6' is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Strong work ethic - highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
  • Reliable transportation to and from work

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management software such as SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera 'P6'
