As a Field Engineer at Kiewit, you will be at the forefront of our construction operations, bringing your innovative ideas and strong work ethic to the table. Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft.
  • Prepare work plans and work packages.
  • Order and schedule material deliveries.
  • Perform takeoffs from drawings and generate change orders reviewed by the Project Manager.
  • Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
  • Review and analyze data relative to the project.
  • Complete plans and specification reviews for projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of a bid.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements.
  • Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling and cost control.
  • Ability to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera 'P6' is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Strong work ethic - highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management software such as SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, and Primavera 'P6'.
