About the position

As a Field Operations Analyst at Webster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal control environment and the efficiency of account opening processes. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct detailed Account Reviews of Banking Centers and Business Banking Teams. These reviews are designed to evaluate the adequacy of our internal controls and the effectiveness of account opening procedures. You will be expected to provide comprehensive analyses and evaluations, identifying critical findings and ensuring that all conclusions are well-supported by documentation and data. In this role, you will communicate the results and necessary corrections from the Account Reviews through both NARP and written communications. Your communications must be objective, clear, concise, constructive, and timely, reflecting a solid understanding of account procedures and prompting management action. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with your assigned Field Operations Partner to ensure that review findings are communicated consistently and effectively. You will also be responsible for appraising and tracking the completion of corrections made by the Banking Centers and Teams. Additionally, you will prepare and communicate monthly reports to the Consumer Banking Leadership Teams and analysts as needed for the BCN Operations Scorecard. Identifying critical procedural and process deficiencies related to new accounts will be part of your responsibilities, and you will recommend updates to account procedures, guides, and training objectives. You will also participate in various projects and collaborate with the Field Operations Team on administrative tasks as directed by the Managing Director of Field Operations & Administration. Attending Regional Meetings to provide coaching and updates on procedures will be essential to ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed Account Reviews of Banking Centers & Business Banking Teams.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of the internal control environment and account opening effectiveness.
  • Provide comprehensive analyses and evaluations to identify critical findings.
  • Communicate results and corrections of the Account Reviews using NARP and/or written means.
  • Ensure communications are objective, clear, concise, constructive, and timely.
  • Collaborate with assigned FO Partner to communicate review findings.
  • Appraise and track the completion of corrections by the Banking Centers and Teams.
  • Prepare and communicate monthly reports to Consumer Banking Leadership Teams and analysts for the BCN Operations Scorecard.
  • Identify critical procedural/process deficiencies related to new accounts and recommend updates to procedures, guides, and training objectives.
  • Work on various projects and collaborate with the Field Operations Team on administrative tasks as determined by the Managing Director of Field Operations & Administration.

Requirements

  • 3+ years operations experience, including Banking Center experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of new account opening and review policies and procedures, including specialty and business account types.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services.
