About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at Confluent is a newly created position within the Customer Success Group (CSG) Strategy & Operations team. This role focuses on leveraging business systems data to analyze and provide insights into organizational performance. The analyst will design and implement operational dashboards and ad hoc reporting, utilizing strong technical knowledge in database and business intelligence design to transform data into actionable insights. The position emphasizes collaboration with various teams to ensure data-driven decision-making is integral to operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create Tableau dashboards and analytic reporting in business systems such as Salesforce to measure and execute strategies for the Customer Solutions Group.
  • Own core activities for small analytic projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Gather requirements, design, and build dashboards & analytic reporting based on stakeholder and leadership needs to monitor performance for key indicators.
  • Work with the Sr Manager of Business Analytics to define and maintain a set of data definitions and available measures across the CSG business.
  • Establish a roadmap and rationalization plan for dashboards, reporting, analysis tools, and processes across CSG.

Requirements

  • BS degree, preferably with a post-graduate degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computing, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years relevant industry experience or demonstrable applied knowledge of working with Tableau or other data visualization software, Salesforce, SQL (large data sets/data warehousing).
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements, set and meet deadlines, and deliver insightful analysis and/or models.
  • Keen attention to detail while completing complex tasks.
  • Open, growth mindset and high degrees of self-motivation in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment.
