About the position

The Field Operations Coordinator position at OPENLANE is a pivotal role within our dynamic operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of vehicle inspections. This position is designed for individuals who have a strong background in the automotive industry, particularly in conducting vehicle assessments and coordinating with dealerships. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to enhance operational efficiency and maintain high standards of service delivery. In this role, you will be tasked with conducting thorough vehicle assessments, which include documenting the condition of the engine, transmission, interior, and exterior of vehicles using OPENLANE's mobile application. You will also coordinate with dealerships to ensure compliance with OPENLANE's standards and guidelines for vehicle inspections. Your ability to maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports is crucial, as is your capacity to assist in marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials to buying dealers. As a Field Operations Coordinator, you will serve as a vital liaison between the sales team, operations team, and dealerships, fostering positive relationships and ensuring effective communication. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in managing the workflow and ensuring that all inspections are conducted efficiently and accurately. This role operates on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM PST, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in a structured work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle assessments, documenting engine, transmission, interior, and exterior inspections using OPENLANE's mobile application.
  • Coordinate with dealerships and ensure adherence to OPENLANE standards and guidelines for vehicle inspections.
  • Submit accurate and detailed inspection reports through the designated platform.
  • Assist in marketing efforts by distributing flyers and promotional materials to buying dealers.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and dealerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience as a vehicle mechanic or equivalent mechanical background.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including electronic submission of inspection reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
