This position is integral to the operations team, which is responsible for coordinating with dealerships and maintaining high standards for vehicle inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, with at least five years of experience, and will be detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused. The role requires conducting thorough vehicle assessments, documenting findings accurately, and ensuring compliance with OPENLANE's standards and guidelines. The coordinator will also assist in marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials to buying dealers and will maintain strong communication with internal teams and dealerships to foster positive relationships. In this position, the Field Operations Coordinator will utilize OPENLANE's mobile application to document inspections, covering various aspects such as engine, transmission, interior, and exterior conditions. The role operates on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM PST, and the candidate should reside in or near Palo Alto, Redwood City, Stanford, or Mountain View. Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle assessments, documenting engine, transmission, interior, and exterior inspections using OPENLANE's mobile application.
  • Coordinate with dealerships and ensure adherence to OPENLANE standards and guidelines for vehicle inspections.
  • Submit accurate and detailed inspection reports through the designated platform.
  • Assist in marketing efforts by distributing flyers and promotional materials to buying dealers.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and dealerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience as a vehicle mechanic or equivalent mechanical background.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including electronic submission of inspection reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
