About the position

BurnBot is seeking a Seasonal Field Operations Coordinator to join our rapidly growing Field Division team in Placerville, CA. This role is essential in supporting project leaders by running errands, keeping paperwork organized, and providing general support on the job site. The Field Operations Coordinator will work closely with team members on various tasks that promote and enhance BurnBot's mission of preventing destructive wildfires through systematic fuels treatment services. The position requires effective communication and coordination with leaders or supervisors to ensure that all job location needs are met efficiently. The Field Operations Coordinator will be responsible for complying with all state and federal regulations, particularly those related to safety. Maintaining a safe, productive, and positive working environment is crucial. The role also involves ensuring that issued equipment is properly maintained and kept clean at all times. Administrative duties will include organizing paperwork, maintaining files, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment, trucks, or offices. The coordinator will provide general administrative support to the project manager or field employees, demonstrating a strong bias for action and the ability to execute assigned tasks with or without guidance. Adaptability to a fast-changing environment and work priorities is essential, along with a desire to learn, ask questions, and take on new responsibilities as needed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the team and the mission of BurnBot.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all state and federal regulations; safety or otherwise.
  • Maintain and promote a safe, productive and positive working environment.
  • Ensure issued equipment is properly maintained and clean at all times.
  • Assist the field project manager or directors with errands needed around the job site or hub.
  • Perform administrative duties including organizing paperwork, maintaining files, and ensuring cleanliness of equipment, trucks, or offices.
  • Provide general administrative support to the project manager or to field employees.
  • Demonstrate a strong bias for action and the ability to execute assigned tasks with or without guidance.
  • Adapt to a fast changing environment and work priorities.
  • Desire to learn, ask questions and take on new responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including listening, responding, and assisting with a positive service mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift/push/pull weights of up to 100 lbs with regularity.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach, grasp and climb various surfaces and heights for 8+ hours per day.
  • Utilize personal knowledge to resolve issues and discern when to seek assistance for efficient resolutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with or in forestry, wildfire, or related resource management fields.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a forklift, skidder, grader, excavators, etc.
