About the position

The Clark County Election Department is seeking a Field Operations Coordinator to provide technical and specialized office support to assist poll workers and part-time recruiters during the election process. The role involves front-line support, clerical duties, and coordination of volunteer field registrars, ensuring the smooth operation of election-related activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in clerical work, training, and public speaking, and will be required to work overtime, including weekends, during peak election periods.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor volunteer field registrars, providing lead direction and training.
  • Organize and assign work, set priorities, and ensure completion of assigned tasks.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for staff and volunteers.
  • Review and process paperwork for volunteer field registrar applicants.
  • Maintain records regarding field registrars and voter registrations.
  • Monitor the performance of field registrars and office support staff to ensure standards are met.
  • Facilitate outreach programs to register voters and remove ineligible names from registration polls.
  • Order and maintain inventory of supplies for field registrars and satellite locations.
  • Interpret policies and provide information to the public regarding the election process.
  • Research and prepare reports using databases and spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school.
  • Three years of full-time general clerical or office assistant experience, including training or volunteer coordination.
  • Experience in public speaking or oral presentations is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in elections or volunteer coordination is a plus.
  • Professional level experience in office administration.
