About the position

The Field Operations Manager, Product Alignment at Confluent plays a crucial role in enhancing the interlock processes between Field Operations and Product Management. This position is responsible for representing customer needs in product planning, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various teams, and driving efficiency in operations. The role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Help set the rhythm and cadence of the Customer Success & Product organizations to ensure effective delivery and accountability.
  • Establish processes to drive efficiency, alignment, and continuity in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ensure business solutions and systems are flexible and scalable to meet organizational demands.
  • Work with Product Management and Voice of the Customer teams to capture product-related themes and patterns for prioritization decisions.
  • Develop and lead internal communication strategies for customer-facing teams regarding product strategy and progress.
  • Provide input into learning and development programs for Customer Success teams in partnership with Product Marketing and Enablement.
  • Identify opportunity areas for improvement in CSG and Product team operations.
  • Support and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve internal processes and operations between CSG, Product, and Engineering.
  • Present high-impact programs and results to senior-level management and technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with CSG leaders and stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements, features, and enhancements.
  • Establish KPIs and success measures related to Field & Product interlock processes.
  • Build trust with leaders and teams across Field and Product organizations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and delivering strategic programs in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical requirements into revenue implications.
  • High interest in Software as a Service (SaaS) operations and business models, especially consumption-based models.
  • Ability to grasp strategic concepts and execute tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with executives and teams.
  • Knowledge of product development and software development lifecycles with a focus on customer support and adoption.
  • Experience in sales engineering, technical account management, or product management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Jira Align, Confluence, and other project management tools is a plus.
  • Open, growth mindset with high self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
