About the position

The Field Operations Manager, Product Alignment at Confluent plays a crucial role in refining and managing the interlock processes between Field Operations and Product teams. This position is responsible for representing customer needs in product planning, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various departments, and driving efficiency and alignment in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help set the rhythm and cadence of the Customer Success & Product organizations to ensure effective delivery and accountability.
  • Establish the right amount of process to drive efficiency, alignment, and continuity.
  • Ensure business solutions and systems are flexible and scalable to meet organizational demands.
  • Work with Product Management and Voice of the Customer teams to capture product-related themes for prioritization decisions.
  • Develop and lead internal communication strategies for customer-facing teams regarding Product strategy and progress.
  • Provide input into learning and development programs for Customer Success teams.
  • Identify opportunity areas for improvement in CSG and Product team operations.
  • Support and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve internal processes and operations.
  • Present high-impact programs and results to senior management and technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with CSG leaders to define and prioritize product requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and delivering strategic programs in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical requirements into revenue implications.
  • High interest in SaaS operations and consumption-based business models.
  • Ability to shift between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with executives and teams.
  • Knowledge of product development and software development lifecycles, focusing on customer support and adoption.
  • Experience in sales engineering, technical account management, or product management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Jira Align, Confluence, and other project management tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
