About the position

The Customer Strategy & Execution Team at Confluent is seeking a key individual to enhance and manage the interlock processes between Field and Product teams. This role, reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, involves representing customer needs in product planning and facilitating cross-functional discussions to drive product improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process development and a passion for customer-centric product strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Help set the rhythm and cadence of the Customer Success & Product organizations to ensure effective delivery and accountability.
  • Establish processes to drive efficiency, alignment, and continuity in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ensure business solutions and systems are flexible and scalable to meet organizational demands.
  • Work with Product Management and Voice of the Customer teams to capture product-related themes and patterns for product prioritization.
  • Develop and lead internal communication strategies for customer-facing teams regarding product strategy and progress.
  • Provide input into learning and development programs for Customer Success teams in partnership with Product Marketing and Enablement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in CSG and Product team operations.
  • Support and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve internal processes between CSG, Product, and Engineering.
  • Present high-impact programs and results to senior management and technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with CSG leaders to define and prioritize product requirements, features, and enhancements.
  • Establish KPIs and success measures for Field & Product interlock processes.
  • Build trust with leaders and teams across Field and Product organizations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and delivering strategic programs in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical requirements into revenue implications.
  • High interest in SaaS operations and consumption-based business models.
  • Ability to shift between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with executives and teams.
  • Knowledge of product development and software development lifecycles, focusing on customer support and adoption.
  • Experience in sales engineering, technical account management, or product management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Jira Align, Confluence, and other project management tools is a plus.
  • Open, growth mindset with self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
