About the position

As a Field Operations Manager on Via's Transit-as-a-Service (TaaS) Operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations using Via's innovative technology platform. This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence and enhancing customer experience while driving continuous improvement and growth of services. The position requires in-person presence in Omaha, with a commitment to being in the field at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational excellence and an unbelievable customer experience.
  • Oversee operations in person, accommodating business needs that may require early mornings or evenings.
  • Manage driver supply to ensure the appropriate number of vehicles are in service to meet demand expectations.
  • Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions to solve problems as they arise.
  • Respond to driver feedback and live customer issues.
  • Collaborate with a broad interdisciplinary team to scale operational processes, systems, and tools for rapid growth.
  • Analyze and interpret metrics/KPIs to identify inefficiencies and optimize operations.

Requirements

  • A socially perceptive, environmentally conscious individual aligned with promoting transportation equity and reducing carbon emissions.
  • A self-starter comfortable with a high level of responsibility.
  • A driven executor with a track record of end-to-end ownership of a book of business and history of hitting KPIs and revenue goals.
  • A team-focused individual who takes ownership of their work and pride in their team's success.
  • Experienced in project management, creating and refining operational processes, and customer service.
  • Multi-site management experience is a plus.
  • An outgoing and sociable leader skilled at professional communication with partners, customers, and driver partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and contribute to various projects.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Based in the Omaha area and able to commute to operations easily.
  • Experience in managing (including scheduling) a team is a plus.
  • Taking initiative and owning new projects.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting as conditions change.
  • Experienced in managing projects with multiple stakeholders is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
