About the position

The Customer-Based Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all service provisions related to a high-profile Airline customer on a global scale. This role focuses on managing and optimizing operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and compliance with project plans and regulatory requirements. The position serves as the primary liaison between internal support teams and Airline officials, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all customer service provisions, ensuring compliance with service levels and performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the customer, addressing issues promptly and fostering strong relationships.
  • Travel up to 30% worldwide to oversee site activities and ensure compliance with project plans and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and support onsite teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports, maintaining accurate documentation of agreements and operational concerns.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, developing corrective action plans for service failures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must reside within commuting distance of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; or military professional equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, focusing on customer service and relationship management, preferably within the aviation or transportation industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Teams, Excel, PPT, etc.).
  • Proven track record of managing complex operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze data, develop insights, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Military and commercial aviation experience preferred.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
