About the position

The Field Operations Specialist I at JT4, LLC plays a crucial role in providing technical advisory and operational support for field operations related to military testing and training. This position involves coordinating and directing operations in remote areas, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols, and contributing to the development of design specifications for complex projects. The specialist will work closely with various teams to meet customer requirements and will be responsible for conducting site visits, analyzing problems, and proposing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of field operational tasks involving designing, locating, and developing remote areas for testing and training applications.
  • Determine causes/effects, reach conclusions, and recommend solutions in real-time.
  • Contribute to the development of design specifications, analyses, or design reviews for complex projects.
  • Coordinate with logistics, financial, and project management to meet customer requirements.
  • Verify and comply with the test plan and customer test/training objectives within safety and security parameters.
  • Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform operational studies.
  • Support development of customer testing/training proposals and provide comments on the technical/operational level of effort.
  • Conduct testing/training objectives with project director for each test.
  • Interface and liaise with customers at all levels to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and experimental investigations, analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain program schedules, status reports, budgets, plans, and other administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic, military, or vocational technical training.
  • Four years of directly related experience in a similar operational environment.
  • Familiarity with government organization, structure, and supply.
  • Intimate familiarity with the area of operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of special equipment locations and capabilities, Military Operating Areas (MOA), and Range operations.
  • Knowledge of local area procedures including incident/accident procedures and unauthorized personnel entry contingency plans.
  • Ability to conduct functions under stressful conditions in a constantly changing environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
