About the position

The Field Professional position at Halliburton involves providing well site services to customers of Baroid, focusing on fluid service operations. This role requires advanced knowledge in colloidal and general chemistry, as well as the ability to conduct specialized testing and provide technical guidance on customized engineering fluids. The position is temporary, with a pay rate of $32 per hour and a potential assignment length of 3 months, with possibilities for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of colloidal and general chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations, and routine and specialized testing.
  • Provides guidance and facilitates formal training to fluid service representatives on company products and services.
  • Conducts and interprets routine and specialized testing to provide technical guidance on Baroid customized engineering fluids.
  • Tracks material usage and maintains records for inventory and billing purposes.
  • Maintains good working relationships with operator's representatives and rig personnel, assisting in operations planning and drilling optimization.
  • Assists the Baroid office in well planning and business delivery activities, reviews well recaps for accuracy, and mentors Field Service Representatives.
  • Complies with health, safety, and environment regulations in all aspects of job performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completed mud training at Halliburton.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Fluid Service Representative role.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in any discipline is preferred.
  • Math test required.
