About the position

The Field Recruiter for Pet Food Express is responsible for full-cycle recruiting for retail store roles, ensuring a positive candidate experience and promoting the brand. This hybrid position requires collaboration with store leaders to understand hiring needs and develop effective staffing strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail recruiting or a strong background in retail management, with a focus on building relationships and networking to attract top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting for store roles including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding candidates.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and create candidate profiles.
  • Manage the end-to-end candidate journey, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Track store openings and communicate data with the HR Manager.
  • Work with HR Manager and Recruiters on sourcing strategies and process improvements.
  • Assist with job postings and maintain the applicant tracking system (JazzHR).
  • Develop relationships with local talent sources to ensure a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Conduct fair and effective interviews, designing an inclusive candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers during the offer and onboarding process.
  • Attend job fairs and networking events as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recruiting or hiring experience, preferably in retail or similar industries.
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail setting, including at least one year in a management or leadership role with hiring responsibilities.
  • Experience hiring for retail roles such as Store Managers and Sales Associates is a plus.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards to source candidates.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (JazzHR preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Effective relationship and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
  • Ability to cope with change and handle risk and uncertainty.
