About the position

The Field Reimbursement Manager will serve as the regional product access resource in support of product access. This individual will work closely with their assigned field sales team to identify health plan access pull-through opportunities, resolve customer access escalations, and provide customer education upon request. The role requires a solid educational foundation of the products, enabling the manager to educate customers about product acquisition, health plan access requirements, coding, and client service offerings. Establishing relationships and serving as a resource for patient access stakeholders, including office management, institution administrators, billing and coding staff, and nurses, is crucial. The manager will work closely with Sales Leadership and field sales representatives to appropriately support healthcare providers with their reimbursement needs. A thorough understanding of product health plan access and policies is essential, as is the ability to effectively communicate this information to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Educate customers about product acquisition, health plan access requirements, coding, and client service offerings.
  • Establish relationships and serve as a resource for patient access stakeholders including office management, institution administrators, billing and coding staff, and nurses.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership and field sales representatives to support healthcare providers with their reimbursement needs.
  • Fully understand product health plan access and policies and communicate this information effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a pharmaceutical field market access, trade, reimbursement services or related role; or 3+ years of experience in a sales or sales leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience with Buy and bill and pharmacy benefit.
  • Ability to travel 75% - 80% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes with expertise in Medicare Part D (Pharmacy Benefit design and coverage policy).
  • Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors, as well as Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems.
