About the position

The Luxury Consignment Executive (LCE) at The RealReal is a pivotal Outside Sales role focused on driving new consignment business by acquiring luxury items from clients within a designated territory. This position requires a customer-centric approach, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a quota-driven sales environment, primarily through in-home appointments and daily outreach to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Convert marketing generated leads into new clients and self-generate new business by prospecting new and activating lapsed leads
  • Connect with new and established clients to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and in-home appointments
  • Leverage strong client relationships to gain referrals for new business
  • Procure consigned goods from clients and ship to ecommerce centers on their behalf
  • Provide an outstanding client experience
  • Review contract with clients
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury, utilizing internal tools and resources
  • Partner with Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve client issues or concerns
  • Spend more than 70% of time in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • 3+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record of success in performance-based sales roles
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility with clients
  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and occasionally work off-hours as required by clientele
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results
  • Stellar communication skills - both written and verbal; ability to effectively interface with sophisticated clientele and adapt communication style to suit the target audience
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with technological tools including Salesforce or a CRM of similar caliber and G-suite
  • Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration
  • A solutions-focused mentality with a growth mindset
  • Adaptability and openness to change
  • Highly coachable with an eagerness to learn
  • Must live and regularly meet with clients in person anywhere within assigned territory
  • A current, valid driver's license
  • Car insurance that meets or exceeds local requirements
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to travel more than 70% within designated market
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
