About the position

The Luxury Manager (LM) at The RealReal is a key Outside Sales position responsible for driving new consignment business by acquiring luxury items from clients within an assigned territory. This role requires a customer-obsessed and self-motivated individual who thrives in a quota-driven sales environment, focusing on building client relationships and providing exceptional service through in-home appointments and outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Convert marketing generated leads into new clients and self-generate new business by prospecting and activating lapsed leads.
  • Connect with clients to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and in-home appointments.
  • Leverage strong client relationships to gain referrals for new business.
  • Procure consigned goods from clients and ship to ecommerce centers on their behalf.
  • Outreach daily to leads and clients to maintain engagement.
  • Provide an outstanding client experience and review contracts with clients.
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury, utilizing internal tools and resources.
  • Partner with the Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve client issues or concerns.
  • Spend more than 70% of time in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items.

Requirements

  • 3+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record in performance-based roles.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Commitment to 40 hours per week and occasional off-hours work as required by clientele.
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results.
  • Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM and G-suite.
  • Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration.
  • Adaptability and openness to change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience converting leads to close new business.
  • Previous experience selling luxury goods and/or services.
  • Existing book of clients.
  • Ability to discuss and advise customers on general fashion trends and developments in the luxury market.
