About the position
The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving the company's sales goals within a designated territory by managing existing customer relationships and developing new opportunities. This role serves as the principal relationship manager, aligning customer needs with the company's engineering, customer service, and marketing efforts, while providing expert consultation and solutions to customers.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the sales effort in an assigned geographic area.
- Act as the critical link between the company and its customers.
- Provide engineering/application assistance to customers as an expert.
- Serve as a solution provider rather than just a product salesperson.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of company products, industry applications, and effective solution selling principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Distribution.
- Product knowledge relevant to customer needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- High motivation to succeed.
