About the position

As a Field Sales Engineer with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will play a crucial role in developing and growing profitability within your assigned territory. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, where you will be responsible for not only meeting but exceeding sales targets through strategic planning and execution. You will engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with PCB's offerings in sensors and instrumentation. Your role will involve providing quotations for products and services, ensuring compliance with pricing and delivery policies, and assisting product groups with follow-up activities to enhance customer satisfaction. In this position, you will be the primary point of contact for customers in your territory, responding to a wide range of inquiries via written communication and phone calls. You will schedule visits to customers, perform demonstrations of equipment, and train them on the proper use of the products. This hands-on approach will help build strong relationships and trust with clients, which is essential for long-term success. Additionally, you will act as a critical liaison between customers and the factory, effectively communicating customer feedback to support PCB's marketing and engineering efforts. You will also be responsible for developing a sales forecast and plan for your territory, ensuring that you have a clear strategy to achieve your sales goals. Participation in sales conferences, trade shows, and local conferences will be part of your duties, allowing you to network and promote PCB's products effectively. This role requires a commitment to customer service and a passion for driving sales growth in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow assigned territory for profitability.
  • Provide quotations for products and services in accordance with pricing and delivery policy.
  • Assist Product Groups with follow-up activities.
  • Respond to a wide range of written and phone customer inquiries.
  • Schedule visits with customers in assigned territory and perform demonstrations of equipment.
  • Train customers on the proper use of equipment.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and factory, communicating customer inputs to support PCB Marketing and Engineering efforts.
  • Develop forecast and sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Attend and participate in sales conferences and trade shows.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on product availability, samples, delivery, repair/service, account status, and literature requests.

Requirements

  • Four year technical degree.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the sensor and instrumentation field.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently growing revenue in an assigned territory.
