About the position

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for driving design-in activities and achieving sales wins within assigned customer accounts and geographies. This role focuses on exceeding revenue targets, managing relationships with manufacturers' representatives and channel partners, and collaborating with product division marketing and engineering teams to identify market trends and customer requirements. The position requires strong technical knowledge of the product portfolio and the ability to build relationships with management and design engineering teams at strategic customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive design-in activity and sales wins within assigned customer accounts.
  • Exceed assigned revenue targets consistently.
  • Indirectly manage Manufacturers Representatives and channel partners.
  • Collaborate with product division marketing and engineering personnel to identify market trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with management level and design engineering teams at strategic customers.
  • Interface with executive staff to explain and defend key business strategies and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Technical degree (minimum bachelor's), preferably in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record of success in selling electronic components into strategic industrial accounts.
  • Good presentation skills to all levels of personnel.
  • Solid conflict resolution skills between customers, sales, and product divisions.
  • Self-motivated to work as an individual sales contributor.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a field applications or design engineer with a willingness to move to sales.
