About the position

The Sales position at Alkegen focuses on driving revenue growth through the identification and development of new business opportunities. The role involves collaborating with the Sales Manager for North America to implement strategies that align with the business plan, serving as the primary contact for customers, and maintaining effective communication across functional areas. The position emphasizes team-based selling and requires regular reporting on customer interactions and market challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue growth through the identification, qualification, and development of new opportunities.
  • Work with the Sales Manager NA to develop and implement strategies to achieve planned sales and business results.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers and prospects, coordinating communication among functional areas at Alkegen.
  • Update and maintain the company CRM database with relevant customer information.
  • Manage new business pipeline development in a structured manner.
  • Establish and maintain an understanding of assigned customers' organizational structure and market strategies.
  • Provide regular status reports to the organization.
  • Promote product line and business group strategies at key accounts and to new prospects.
  • Identify opportunities for additional market share and secure audiences for technical presentations.
  • Communicate customer challenges to the organization and define new product performance standards.
  • Deliver annual revenue plans with monthly updates and revisions.
  • Forecast sales of Alkegen products annually and quarterly with a rolling 12-month forecast.
  • Develop, negotiate, and support agreements for strategic accounts.
  • Recommend sales and market strategies based on market knowledge.
  • Define cross-functional personnel and resources necessary to deliver the sales strategy.
  • Support Accounting with the collection of receivables as needed.
  • Work extended hours for special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Three years of experience in sales or marketing.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Enhanced computer skills with direct experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to develop and communicate a strategy for success within assigned territory.
  • Willingness to learn and use new business development skills.
  • Understanding or ability to learn technical details of filter media production and applications.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for active listening to understand customer expectations.
