About the position

The Field Sales Manager for Network Security at Arrow will lead a team of Channel Managers within the Enterprise Computing Solutions business. This role focuses on driving strategy, managing team performance, and developing customer relationships to achieve sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and a proven track record in the distribution sales channel.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and deliver results by making recommendations to the General Manager/Sales Director on strategy and customer plans.
  • Implement supply chain, engineering, supplier, or service excellence strategies to create value-added sales opportunities.
  • Identify and help achieve sales branch goals, focusing on both team and individual objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor sales staff while managing employee performance and ensuring adequate training and resources.
  • Coach employees and prepare development plans to foster high potential sales representatives for future management roles.
  • Enhance relationships with key contacts by providing superior service and operational excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and vendors at all levels.
  • Increase management presence at customer accounts to access decision makers.
  • Act as a leader in the branch, instilling vision and enthusiasm to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for budgeting and planning, facilitating process improvements based on data analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 8 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven management experience in leading sales teams within the distribution sales channel.
  • Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions on strategy and direction.
  • Ability to travel at least 35% of the time.

  • Experience in the technology or network security industry.
  • Familiarity with sales compensation plans and performance metrics.
