About the position

Ridge Valley Exteriors, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead their sales team in delivering exceptional roofing and gutter solutions. The Sales Manager will oversee sales performance, mentor team members, and develop strategies for growth while contributing to community initiatives such as supporting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to sales representatives.
  • Set individual sales goals, track performance metrics, and report progress to upper management.
  • Foster a positive, high-energy sales culture, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth in roofing, solar, and gutter services.
  • Engage in door-to-door sales and train the team on generating leads and building customer relationships.
  • Conduct roof inspections while training the team on assessing customer needs and recommending solutions.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and customer service departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and within the community to build brand awareness and drive business development.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of sales experience, preferably in roofing or related fields.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and building trust.
  • Ability to work five days a week, including Saturdays.
  • Willingness to conduct roof inspections and engage in door-to-door sales efforts.
  • Ability to set up ladders, climb on roofs, work at heights, and lift 50lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a background check for employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Roofing sales experience is a plus, but not required (comprehensive training provided).
  • Self-reflective with a willingness to learn and grow in sales.
