About the position

The Field Sales Pro at BSN Sports is responsible for managing and optimizing the full cycle sales process within an assigned territory, primarily focusing on local schools and organizations. This role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service to coaches, generating revenue, and meeting sales targets while embodying the company's core values. The position operates in a hybrid environment, requiring both fieldwork and home office management, and involves significant local travel to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Handle rejection and turn challenges into opportunities with resilience.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company's CRM for prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage account lists and travel within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or a coaching/sports-related background.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the sporting goods industry.
  • Familiarity with sales training programs.
